🚀 Getting Started

What is Haiven? +
Haiven is an AI Memory OS that gives your AI assistants perfect memory across conversations. Save important context from any AI chat (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) and Haiven will automatically inject relevant memories into future conversations, making your AI truly personalized.
How do I save my first memory? +
There are three ways to save memories:

1. Dashboard: Go to your dashboard and paste any AI conversation into the capture box.

2. Browser Extension: Install our Chrome extension to automatically capture conversations while you chat.

3. Custom GPT: Use our Custom GPT in ChatGPT to save memories directly from your conversations.
How do I install the browser extension? +
The Chrome extension is currently in limited release. Visit our setup page to request early access, or email hello@safehaiven.com.

🧠 Memory Management

How do I delete a memory? +
Go to the Memories tab, find the memory you want to remove, and click the delete icon. You can also bulk-delete memories by selecting multiple items.
Can I edit memories after saving them? +
Yes! Click on any memory card to open it, then click "Edit" to modify the content or category. You can also change the project it's associated with.
How are memories organized? +
Haiven automatically categorizes your memories (Work, Personal, Health, Goals, etc.) using AI. You can also create Projects to group related memories, and use "Worlds" to separate different contexts (like work vs personal life).
How do I find a specific memory? +
Use the search bar in your dashboard - it uses semantic search to find memories by meaning, not just keywords. You can also filter by category, platform, or date.

🔒 Privacy & Security

Is my data safe? +
Yes. Your memories are encrypted at rest and in transit. We never sell your data or use it to train AI models. Read our full Privacy Policy and Transparency Report for details.
Who can see my memories? +
Only you. Haiven employees cannot access your memories without your explicit permission (for support purposes). Your memories are never shared with third parties.
Can I export my data? +
Yes, you can export all your memories at any time from Settings > Data Export. You'll receive a JSON file with all your data.

🤖 Using with AI

Which AI platforms does Haiven work with? +
Haiven works with all major AI platforms: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, and more. The browser extension supports automatic capture from most AI chat interfaces.
How do memories get into my AI chats? +
There are two ways:

1. Browser Extension: Automatically injects relevant memories when you start a new conversation.

2. Copy/Paste: Use the "Get Context" feature in your dashboard to copy relevant memories and paste them into any AI.
What is the Custom GPT? +
Our Custom GPT is a ChatGPT Plus feature that lets you save and recall memories directly in ChatGPT. Visit the Custom GPT setup page to get started.

🔧 Troubleshooting

The Chrome extension isn't capturing my conversations +
Try these steps:

1. Check your User ID: Click the extension icon > Settings and make sure your User ID is entered correctly. You can find it on your dashboard settings.

2. Refresh the page: After installing or updating, refresh ChatGPT/Claude to activate the extension.

3. Check the platform: The extension currently supports ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. Make sure you're on a supported site.

4. Wait for the conversation to end: Memories are captured when you finish a conversation or after a pause in messages.

5. Reinstall: Try removing and re-adding the extension from chrome://extensions.
My memories aren't showing up when I search +
1. Give it a moment: New memories take a few seconds to be indexed for search.

2. Try different keywords: Haiven uses semantic search - try describing what the memory is about rather than exact words.

3. Check your filters: Make sure you haven't filtered by a specific category or date range that excludes the memory.

4. Check the Memories tab: Go to your dashboard and scroll through your memories to confirm they were saved.
I saved a memory but it disappeared +
Memories might not save if:

1. It was too short: Very brief messages (under ~20 characters) may be filtered as low-value.

2. It was a duplicate: Haiven automatically prevents duplicate memories. If you already saved similar content, the new save may be skipped.

3. Network issue: Check your internet connection and try again.

If you're still having issues, try saving manually from the dashboard capture box.
The Custom GPT isn't connecting to my memories +
1. Verify your API key: Go to Settings and copy your API key. Make sure it's entered correctly in the GPT configuration.

2. Check the schema URL: The OpenAPI schema should be: https://api.safehaiven.com/openapi-chatgpt.json

3. ChatGPT Plus required: Custom GPTs with Actions require a ChatGPT Plus subscription.

4. Re-authorize: In the GPT editor, try removing and re-adding the authentication with your API key.
Claude Desktop MCP isn't working +
1. Restart Claude Desktop: After editing the config, completely quit and reopen Claude Desktop.

2. Check your config file: Make sure the JSON is valid (no trailing commas, proper brackets). The file should be at:
- Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
- Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json

3. Verify your User ID: Check that your HAIVEN_USER_ID matches the one in your dashboard settings.

4. Check Node.js: MCP requires Node.js installed. Run node --version in terminal to verify.
The dashboard is loading slowly +
1. Check your internet: Haiven requires an internet connection to sync memories.

2. Many memories: If you have thousands of memories, initial load may take a moment. We're working on pagination improvements.

3. Try a hard refresh: Press Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) to clear cache and reload.

💳 Account & Billing

Is Haiven free? +
Yes! Haiven is currently free during our early access period. Early users (Founding 100) will receive lifetime access to premium features.
How do I delete my account? +
Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. This will permanently remove all your data. You can also email hello@safehaiven.com and we'll process your request within 24 hours.
