TL;DR - The Short Version

Your memories are yours. We don't read them, sell them, or train on them.
We don't want your data. We want to build a product you trust.
Delete anytime. One click and it's gone. No retention, no backups we keep.
No tracking. No analytics on your content. No behavioral profiling.

1. Our Philosophy

Haiven exists to give you a memory layer for AI - not to harvest your data. We make money by building something useful, not by monetizing your information. Your memories are private. Period.

2. What We Store (Only What You Give Us)

Memories you explicitly save: Text you choose to capture
Your account: Email (for login) and a unique ID
Timestamps: When you created/accessed memories (for decay algorithm)

That's it. We don't scrape your conversations, track your browsing, or collect anything you don't explicitly send us.

What We Don't Do

We don't read your memories (they're encrypted, we can't)
We don't sell your data to anyone
We don't train AI models on your content
We don't track your behavior or build profiles
We don't share data with advertisers
We don't retain data after you delete it

3. How Your Data is Protected

Encryption in transit: All connections use HTTPS/TLS
Encryption at rest: Database is encrypted
No plain-text storage: Content is vectorized for search
Isolated accounts: Your data is only accessible with your credentials

4. Third-Party Services (Minimal)

We use the minimum required to operate:

Supabase: Database hosting (your data lives here, encrypted)
OpenAI: Creates embeddings for semantic search (text is processed, not stored by them)
Railway: Application hosting

We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook pixels, or any tracking/advertising services.

5. Your Control

View all your data: Dashboard shows everything we have
Export anytime: Download your memories in standard formats
Delete individual memories: Gone immediately
Delete your account: Removes everything, permanently

When you delete something, it's deleted. We don't keep shadow copies or "soft delete" for 90 days. Gone means gone.

6. Chrome Extension

If you use our extension, here's what it can access:

storage: Saves your settings locally
activeTab: Only reads a page when you click to save

The extension does NOT run in the background, does NOT track your browsing, and does NOT send us anything unless you explicitly click to save content.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we'll tell you. No sneaking in new data collection. If we ever need to collect more (we don't plan to), we'll ask first.
